The next still life was a scrape-out. It didn't pan out.
The setup:
My idea was to have the red light on the creamer be the focus, and to play off that with the red cloth.
At the above stage I'm liking it.
As I start resolving the creamer, the whole thing seems less interesting. Not working for me. I swap out the creamer for different object to see if I can save this:
After getting a sketchy sense for the new object, I make my decision. In the end, it was just a "meh" composition, and moving on to something else was a better use of time.
SCRAPE.
