Greetings!

My painting "Heart of Red" won Raymar's Best of Show for April.
Cool, that's two months in a row! The April judge was Jeff Legg, one of the best still-life artists ever. Nice comments.



New still life.
Decided to let loose on this one. Sometimes that's good. It reminded me to paint in the moment and enjoy it, not being too attached to any particular outcome (referring to success or failure, not the actual concept of the painting). It doesn't always have to be a battle. Just letting it flow. I was in the mood to slather on lots of paint, so I mostly used the knife this time.
