New cityscape.
The setup. Here is one of the original reference photos. I love Smith Tower:


And this is after cobbling together a few pics for a larger view, followed by some digital manipulation:


First stage. Starting like this used to scare me. Now I love it, because I know I'll be able to pull it out from the chaos:

Mid-week I started a still life, then abandoned it at this stage:



It was somewhat uninspired, just going through the motions...and it shows. Sometimes it takes a quick (or sometimes a not-so-quick) failure to snap you back on the right path. It took this wipe-out to make me realize I was still in full cityscape mode, so that's where I went.

Another cityscape is currently in the works.
