Dear Subscribers,
Greetings!
Last week's scraped painting was followed by a funky space: a full day of sketching still life ideas, composing, and recomposing, ultimately to no avail. Those days are frustrating, but bursts of creation usually follow soon after. I'm learning to embrace the slog through mud. A trip to the thrift store for objects and to the grocery store for produce helped bring the mojo back:

The setup:

I've still got blinders on for my Solo Show in July, but another event this year is on the horizon. In September, my gallery RS Hanna Gallery is having a show titled "Catch A Rising Star" (for the gallery's emerging artists). It's gonna be a good one.
Thanks for reading, I appreciate it.
Until next week,
